We’re seeking a Researcher to join our Digitalisation team. You’ll work on projects at the intersection of technology, society, and public policy, focusing on the regulation of online platforms, digital markets, and the broader digital economy.
We are looking for:
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences (political science, economics, public policy, sociology, or similar); a Master’s degree is preferable, though not the decisive factor.
- At least 2 years of public policy analysis experience carrying out research for public sector consulting in the EU.
- A demonstrated, genuine interest in artificial intelligence, online platforms, digital markets, digital media, and the policy challenges they bring.
- Confidence in applying quantitative research methods (statistical/econometric analysis, data analytics); experience with Python is an advantage.
- Hands-on experience with qualitative methods too (interviews, case studies, literature reviews) – as our research assignments regularly call for a mixed-method approach.
- Everyday use of AI and digital tools to enhance workstreams, support research tasks, run quality checks, and improve outputs.
- A mindset fit: curiosity, analytical thinking, responsibility for own results and a hands-on, can-do approach to executing research; equally comfortable working independently and in diverse teams.
- Excellent written and spoken English (C1–C2), with strong communication and presentation skills, and emphasis on effective writing.
- Eligibility to be hired in one of these EU countries: Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia.
You will:
- Deliver high-impact research and evaluation projects on digital policy, AI, and platform regulation: from gathering and analysing data to delivering research findings for public policy audiences.
- Work closely with your thematic team and learn from passionate and experienced professionals.
- Help lead and mentor junior colleagues and interns: delegating tasks, ensuring high-quality outputs, and supporting their growth.
- Support project coordination, including managing expert networks and related project activities.
- Join the team in developing workflow automation and building AI skills together.
