What have you gained from your internship? Mona1

What key skills do you feel you have developed?

During the internship my tasks but also the numerous conversations with my colleagues let me gain good insight into the actual work of a researcher. Through the small workshops in the lunch breaks I was able to expand my knowledge about structuring and writing evaluation reports and studies. I particularly liked the fact that the work of Visionary Analytics coincides thematically with my studies and my interests in education and innovation. Therefore, the research tasks were very exciting for me and I was able to improve my English writing skills when drafting texts for example for the context part of a proposal.

What made you happy about your internship?

I am super grateful for the nice and exciting time here at Visionary Analytics. I was warmly welcomed and immediately felt at home. Everyone tried to get me involved and I found it super exciting to learn so much about Lithuania and its people. The internship itself and feedback from colleagues confirmed that I am on the right professional path and that I want to stay in the field of research. The three months passed so quickly and I will miss Vilnius/Lithuania and my colleagues very much!

Suggestions for future interns

The language was not a problem, as everyone changed to English as soon as I entered the room, sometimes even in the middle of a sentence. And also learning some Lithuanian is fun!
