Research and evaluation of R&D and innovation policy. Extensive work with the national authorities.




Pijus has educational background in economics (PhD) and political science (MA). His work experience involves research methodology development,
R&D and innovation policy evaluation and analysis for national bodies, the European Commission and other European organisations (e.g. European Space Agency), as well as academic work at universities.


Pijus has knowledge and experience of conducting both qualitative (interviews, case studies, process tracing) and quantitative analysis (econometric and statistical analysis, counterfactual analysis, surveys). His preferred programme of data analysis is R, but he also uses SPSS and gretl.
