Vaida is a skilled social science researcher with educational background in sociology (PhD) and political science (MA). Having more than 7 years of experience in academic research, she is well equipped in applying both qualitative (interviews, cases study analysis, focus groups) and quantitative (survey design and analysis) research methods as well as in research methodology development.
Vaida has worked extensively with national and international research teams and has excellent command in Lithuanian (mother tongue) and English, as well as basic knowledge of French and Italian.



Academic research and teaching, since 2012
  • Core research team member in several grant research projects (funded by the Research Council of Lithuania and EU Horizon 2020), fully involved in all project phases from project inception to project closure with either individual responsibility or in teamwork, Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuania.
  • Visiting research at University of Konstanz, Germany.
  • Teaching assistant (Public Policy, Social change and Civil Society in the European Union seminars to undergraduate students), Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuania
Expert work, since 2016
  • Contracted expert on political finance regulations at the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA), Sweden.
  • National expert on Lithuanian lobby organizations in a pan-European project on national interest groups in a European comparative perspective, Ljubljana University, Slovenia.
