Management of intellectual capital in universities

Universities face increasing pressures to produce socially and economically valuable outcomes. This has led to adoption of a wide range of management techniques that emphasise cost efficient delivery of results, such as employability of graduates, impact of publications, number of patents, revenue from intellectual property and etc.

However, the mainstream managerial paradigms have largely ignored key assets that are necessary to produce desirable outcomes. Therefore, Visionary Analytics staff joined the international team of researchers, who seeks to contribute to the debate by exploring the key properties of the most significant asset of universities – the intellectual capital.
